Good morning Troopers! Happy Friday!

I am not usually one to like celebrating my birthday, but here I am posting for all to know, that today is my 34th birthday!

Although life hasn’t gone exactly as I thought it would, I am extremely thankful for what I have.

Like my dad always said and continues to say.. Juan and I, will be by each other’s side celebrating our 90+ birthdays.

So cheers to myself for another trip around the sun! No matter how silly it may feel, celebrate yourself, not just on your birthday, but everyday.

Happy Wednesday Troopers!

As promised, here’s an update for you all. Let’s start off with some positive news…I received my PET scan results, and all looks great! This means that from the neck down, my body is free and clear. Yoo-hooo!! I will be having a follow up brain MRI in a couple of weeks.

On the other hand, due to some changes in medications, my energy levels have been affected and I find myself drained quite a bit. On top of that, due to the seizures, I’m unable to drive for the next several months. Depending on others to drive me places has been an added challenge and frustrating to say the least.

Nonetheless, I am happy to be home and happy to atleast have some sense of normalcy back in my life.

As always, I continue to ask you all to keep me in your thoughts and prayers!

Happy Mother’s Day to all! I just wanted to pop

Happy Mother’s Day to all! I just wanted to pop in and say a huge thank you all my troopers for the outpouring of love, messages, meals, and prayers that have been sent my way. I’m finally home just in time for Mother’s Day!

Although this past week has been anything but easy, I am so lucky to be able to spend today with my Ollie, my husband, and family.

Hi Troopers,

I know its been a while, but I needed to disconnect for a little.

I celebrated so much since I last posted back in January.

I celebrated my sisters 29th birthday. I celebrated my besties bridal shower and stood by her side as she married her best friend. I watched my sister Glo pick out her wedding dress for her big day. I celebrated Galentines day with my breasties & so so much more.

Now begins a new season for me, as I have a wave of upcoming brain and body scans, appointments, results, and treatments. So while I had a bit of a break, I’m back and ready for battle.

I hope to update you all more frequently in the coming weeks and I’ll need my troopers there every step of the way!

Here I am once again, prepped and ready to take on another session of gamma knife, but not to worry this is a small one. I just didn’t want to risk it, because I have a busy beginning of a new year.. and plus my bestest is getting married, so I wanted to have ample time to recover and celebrate.
